Abstract

Maine shrimp fishermen this season will be required to use a simple device known as the Nordmore grate, which allows up to 98 percent of unwanted fish to escape from the shrimp nets. Use of the grate will give the juvenile fish that used to be caught along with the shrimp the opportunity to reproduce and help replenish stocks. Details, related article.
