Abstract
The Portland Planning Board on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a change of use and site plan for a Ronald McDonald House in Portland's West End. The nonprofit group Stand By ME Inc. is trying to raise $1.5 million for the 15-bedroom house, which will be sited at the corner of Brackett and Carleton streets and will provide inexpensive lodging for families of sick children receiving care at local hospitals.
