Abstract

Proposed cuts to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which last year helped 5.2 million households pay their utility bills, could have a large impact on low-income families in northern New England. Maine received a $17.5 million appropriation this year, down from $19 million last year, and expects to assist 63,000 households. Details.
