Abstract
Results on tuberculosis tests administered to 547 students and teachers at Sanford High School last Friday show that only eight students and one teacher have been exposed, resulting in a 1.6 percent rate of exposure. The testing was implemented because one student was diagnosed last summer with tuberculosis, but the low rate of exposure has convinced officials that the disease is not spreading. Details.
