The Portland Public Library is hoping to raise enough money to hook into URSUS (University Resources Serving Users Statewide), the on-line catalog of the University of Maine System. The cost to the library would be $300,000 for licensing and startup fees and an estimated annual expenditure of $70,000 for operating costs. Details.
