Abstract

James B. Longley Jr., 42, of Lewiston, son of former Maine Gov. James B. Longley, has announced plans to move to Maine's 1st District as the first step in becoming a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Longley said if he senses strong support for his candidacy, he plans to make a formal announcement of his intentions to challenge U.S. represenative Thomas Andrews by early January.
