Abstract

The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum Inc. in Alna is trying to acquire Engine No. 9, the oldest surviving narrow-gauge steam locomotive built and operated in Maine. The engine, built in 1884 at the Portland Company, is owned by Alice Ramsdell and is currently stored in Connecticut. Details.
