Abstract

The Maine Department of Agriculture has screened five fruits and vegetables commonly eaten by children and found no detectable levels of pesticides on any of the produce. The study, which examined fresh green beans, Macintosh apples, bananas, white potatoes and frozen orange juice concentrate, is the first of many annual screenings the department plans to conduct.
