Abstract
Sanford Police Department's acting police chief, Gordon Paul, has asked the Maine Attorney General's Office to investigate whether the Sanford Board of Selectmen interfered in the department's operations. A recent police committee investigation has uncovered evidence that Selectmen Chairman Faith Ballenger had confidential tapes removed from the department's dispatch center.
