Abstract

John J. Sullivan, 44, an inmate at the Maine State Prison until last week when he was suddenly transferred to the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord, claims that the move was made in retaliation for what he wrote about prison life in his Maine Times newspaper column "Inside the Walls." Neither Maine nor New Hampshire prison officials would comment on the charge. Sullivan is serving a life sentence for a double murder in New Hampshire.
