Abstract

Justice Sidney W. Wernick yesterday ruled that the Portland Housing Authority's 18-year-old ban on guns in its 10 housing projects is a reasonable effort to maintain security for tenants. The ruling rejects the lawsuit by the National Rifle Association, which claimed that the authority's ban violated constitutional rights. An appeal of the ruling is expected. Details.
