Abstract

Bath Iron Works filed suit in Sagadahoc County Superior Court against Liberty Mutual Insurance Group of Boston, the shipbuilder's insurer, to recoup expenses in the legal battle over the Dauphin Dump on Tarbox Hill in Bath. A number of lawsuits have been filed by Tarbox Hill residents seeking damages because of the BIW-owned dump, but Liberty Mutual has maintained that the dump is not the insurance company's problem.
