Abstract

A coalition of Democrats and Republicans unhappy with House Speaker John Martin is likely to force a new vote on whether Martin should be removed from his position of leadership. Martin survived last year's vote to remove him by a mere six votes, and comments he made after the vote indicated he would be resigning after the 1993 legislative session. The speaker says he always intended to finish out his term. Details.
