Abstract

A Cumberland County Superior Court judge yesterday sentenced Leroy A. Sargeant, 28, of Westbrook, to serve 9 months in jail. Sargeant broke into the home of a black family on Montgomery Street in Portland last August wielding a baseball bat and shouting racial slurs.
