Abstract

Jason Cooke of Pittsfield on Monday filed suit in Cumberland County Superior Court against Prince of Fundy Cruise Lines, which operates the Scotia Prince ferry, claiming the line is legally responsible for his actions during a cruise in 1991 when he got drunk and injured a steward on the ferry -- Cooke was a minor in 1991 when a Scotia Prince employee sold a classmate a bottle of vodka, which Cooke consumed, causing him to become rowdy -- Cooke injured steward George A Brooks of Portland during an ensuing melee, and Brooks has since filed suit against Cooke
