Abstract

The State Planning Office projects an net out-migration of people from Maine in each year until 2005 -- The out-migration began with the recession in 1990, reversing a 20-year trend during which more people moved into Maine than moved out -- Through birth increases, the state is expected to have a total population of 1,259,000, an increase of 10,000 over the 1992 population, by 2005
