Abstract

Joan Beaudoin, 58, of Auburn, has filed suit in US District court against Daniel Pearce, Action Collecting Agency of Lewiston and Ford Motor Credit Co, charging that Pearce, owner of Action Collecting, violated Maine consumer laws by repossessing her car over her objections -- Maine consumer law states that if a repossession is interrupted by the owner the repossesser must stop and leave Beaudoin interrupted Pearce in March 1993 as he was repossessing her vehicle, but he completed the repossession anyway, and injured Beaudoin in the process Details
