Abstract

The Ozone Transport Commission, which represents Maine and 11 other Northeastern states plus the District of Columbia, yesterday voted 9-4 to recommend that the federal Environmental Protection Agency require that all new cars sold in the United States meet California emissions standards -- The proposed mandate calls for emission control equipment to be installed on vehicles, at an estimated cost of $60 per car -- Details
