Abstract

Sunday River has requested $85,000 in federal subsidies for the Sunday River Silver Bullet Ski Express, the ski train that runs between Portland and Bethel -- Maine Department of Transportation Deputy Commissioner Russell W Spinney said the request has been tentatively approved by his department, as it appears to fall within federal guidelines -- Leslie B Otten, owner and president of Sunday River, expects the rail service to lose around $75,000 this winter
