York County Commissioner Frank Wood, 44, whose resignation was to take effect Tuesday, on Friday notified Gov McKernan that he plans to serve the final nine months of his term -- Wood had planned to leave the $4,900-a-year position to devote more time to his business, a bookstore in Alfred, but decided to stay on to deal with the lawsuit filed last week by former county jail administrator Raymond Moreau
