Abstract

More than 50 people, including parents, students, and teachers from Limestone, traveled to Augusta yesterday to urge legislators to support Governor McKernan's plan to open a magnet school in Limestone that would educate the state's top students in math and science -- Proponents said the legislation would provide important educational opportunities for the student while also helping to ease the problems caused in Limestone by the shut down of Loring Air Force Base
