Abstract

Kingfield Savings Bank of Kingfield has acquired the failed First Federal Savings Bank of Lewiston, paying a premium of $478,000 for First Federal's $425 million in deposits and $29 million in assets -- The deal ends the work of the Resolution Trust Corp in Maine, and gives Kingfield Savings eight new branches in western and central Maine -- It also raises Kingfield Savings above the $100 million mark in assets
