Abstract

A mural painted by Kevin Tacka of Bar Harbor in the Baxter Elementary School has upset school officials because it is an abstract depiction of sperm fertilizing an egg. The mural, titled "Spark of Life," also depicts animals and scenes from nature, and Tacka says the rendition of a natural fact of life is totally appropriate. Details.
