Abstract

Arthur Rowe, 47, was killed Saturday when a fire swept through and destroyed his 1 1/2-story wooden house on Sam Allen Road in Sanford. Another weekend mobile-home fire in Otisfield claimed the lives of Dawnn Denbow, 24, and her four-year-old daughter Courtney on Sunday. Courtney ignited the fire while playing with a lighter. Earlier, the family had been burned out of a home in Norway for the same reason. Raymond Denbow, 34, the girl's father, saved two other children, while suffering smoke inhalation and burns.
