Abstract

University of Southern Maine President Richard L. Pattenaude yesterday unveiled his proposals to reverse the school's four-year enrollment decline. Under the plan, the undergraduate physics major and the graduate statistics and applied-immunology programs would be eliminated, suspended or otherwise changed, while five new academic programs would be added. The proposals would lower the operating budget by $1.8 million over three years. Details.
