Abstract

Thousands of volunteers will participate in Sunday's sixth annual Walk for Multiple Sclerosis, and the publicity they generate for the fight against the disease is just as important as the money they raise for research. Around 1,500 Mainers have multiple sclerosis, giving the state the highest per capita rate in the nation.
