Abstract

The state Legislature yesterday approved a $15 million supplemental budget that Gov. McKernan has indicated he plans to sign. The budget includes an extra $7 million in state aid for local education, as well as $320,000 for a technology magnet school in Limestone, $1 million for the Reading Recovery Program, $300,000 to expand the Youth Apprenticeship Program and $1.2 million for a new technical college in York County.
