Abstract

York County District Judge Andre Janelle yesterday issued a protection-from-abuse order against Stephen Paul Beyers, who allegedly terrorized Anne Marie Dempsey Rice of South Berwick last December. The case had gained the attention of state representative Marge L. Kilkelly, who said that the state's anti-stalker laws need to be strengthened. Beyers had been stalking Dempsey-Rice for more than two years.
