Abstract

Yesterday two-year-old Patrick McDonough of Wells underwent a bone marrow transplant in Boston to treat his acute myelofibrosis. The marrow, which is not a perfect match, comes from an unidentified 26-year-old woman from another state. It may take up to three weeks to learn whether Patrick's body will accept the new marrow.
