Abstract

The town of Fort Fairfield was littered with huge chunks of ice as a result of flooding on the Aroostook River that forced the evacuation of dozens of people. Main Street in the town was closed as store owners tried to cope with the debris, and the National Guard and the Red Cross were called in for assistance with the evacuations. Details.
