Abstract

The state has tentatively agreed to a five-year lease on a state liquor store to be built by Northeast Hospitality Alternatives on a 10-acre parcel off the Maine Turnpike in Saco. The land is owned by the city of Saco, which has agreed in principle to sell it to developer Robert S. Smith of Freeport. Smith hopes to open a hotel on the site in May 1995, but no chain has yet agreed to operate the facility. Details.
