Abstract

The Maine Department of Transportation has provided funding to determine whether shortnose sturgeon are present in the Androscoggin River around Brunswick at this time of year. The project is part of the Route 1 bypass, which would link Interstate 95 in Topsham to Route 1 in Brunswick. Presence of the sturgeon could affect the construction of the bridge being built as part of the project. Details.
