Abstract
The 3,800-acre Penobscot Experimental Forest, which straddles Bradley and Eddington, has been donated to the University of Maine Foundation by its owners yesterday. Penobscot Experimental Forest Inc. is made up of a number of paper companies and other corporations, and since 1950 has leased the forest to the U.S. Forest Service. Research will continue on the property as a joint venture between the university and the Forest Service.
