Abstract

Bob Springborn, 39, in 1987 opened up a temporary-help firm in Portland as a franchise of Dunhill Temporary Systems. In 1992 Springborn wanted out of his franchise relationship, and after negotiations with Dunhill failed and turned into binding arbitration in 1993 he was finally able to break away to launch Springborn Staffing Services of Portland.
