Abstract

The city of Portland each year spends $23,000 for coffee for municipal meetings and reimbursements for meals, $4,500 to produce the mayor's monthly call-in show on cable television, $400 for Gatorade for the city's firefighters and $15,000 for diapers for children on welfare. The odds and ends of the municipal budget are insignificant by themselves and might add $5 to people's property taxes. Details, amount spent on various items.
