Abstract

Unum Corp. expects to be selling private disability insurance in Japan by October. If licensed by the Ministry of Finance, it will be the eight American-based insurance company selling insurance in Japan and the first to sell private disability insurance. The company presently employs about 25 in its Tokoyo office, an number that could double in fairly short order.
