Abstract

The Land for Maine's Future Board yesterday voted to spend $775,000 for an easement covering 831 acres and 11 small islands totaling 19 acres along Spednic Lake, which is part of the St. Croix River system. The purchase, the board's second involving land along Spednic Lake, is part of a coordinated effort between Maine and Canadian officials to preserve land in the area.
