Abstract

The families of Army Master Sgt. Gary Gordon of Lincoln and Sgt. 1st Class Randall D. Shughart of Newville, Pa., have been notified that the soldiers will receive the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously. Gordon and Shughart were killed in Somalia October 3, 1993, and are the first recipients of the medal since the Vietnam War. Details.
