Abstract

Attorneys for the state and its employees argued before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court on Wednesday in a case involving pension benefit reductions imposed in 1991 for employees with less than seven years service. An April ruling by Superior Court justice Bruce W. Chandler that the reductions were unconstitutional was appealed by the state.
