Abstract

Part of a series profiling legislative and county candidates involved in contested primaries. John F. McDonough, 52, and Paula Craighead, 41, will face off in the Democratic primary for the Senate District 27 seat, which includes Falmouth, Long Island and the northern half of Portland. Both profess a goal of obtaining more state aid for local education in Portland, and the winner will face Republican I. Joel Abromson in the fall.
