Abstract

State Bureau of Health statistics show that the number of abortions performed in the state fell from 4,040 in 1990 to 2,935 in 1992, the fewest in 10 years. The decline might be attributable to better birth control education, lack of access to birth control facilties, and to the fact that more teen-age4 girls are keeping their babies.
