Abstract

With state parks full and reservations at hotels, motels, and camp grounds up 10 to 15 percent over last year, Maine Publicity Bureau officials hope that a strong Memorial Day holiday will set an upbeat tone for the state's tourist industry, which brings in nearly $3 billion annually and employs about 7,000 people.
