Abstract

DeLong Sportswear of Grinnell, Iowa, which used to manfacture lightweight sports jackets and baseball suits in the town of Harmony until it closed the plant last year, has offered to donate the 27,000-square-foot plant, machinery, two homes, the Harmony Fire Hall, and three acres of land to the town. Town officials, hoping that a replacement can be found for Harmony's largest employer, will bring the offer before a special town meeting on June 4.
