Abstract

Article about the tension among workers at the Cumberland County Jail because of the race between incumbent sheriff Wesley Ridlon and Christoper Muse, a jail training officer, who are seeking the Democratic nomination for sheriff. The winner will almost certainly be elected sheriff since the Republicans have no candidate. Supporters of Ridlon and Muse have accused each other of using intimidation and have expressed fear of possible retribution after the elections.
