Abstract

Beginning today, the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum will hold a two-day RailFare celebration on museum grounds at 58 Fore Street, Portland. Visitors will be able to see and touch early narrow-gauge railroad equipment and to purchase modeling supplies, railroad collectibles, books, toys, lanterns and other items of interest to railroad enthusiasts. The RailFare is also intended to generate support for the museum's proposed excursion train along the shore of Eastern Promenade to a point below Fort Allen Park. Details.
