Abstract

The Japanese Ministry of Finance announced today that Unum Life has been granted a preliminary license to begin selling its disability products in Japan. Company officials expect to get a full license by July and to begin selling the company's disability products by October. Unum officials estimate the Japanese market to be worth about $1 billion over the next decade. Details.
