Abstract

A. D. Gray Middle School in Waldoboro during the final two weeks of school allows students to participate in out-of-classroom activities ranging from lobster fishing to mountain biking to dance classes. Students have 39 activities to choose from to particpate in between June 1 and June 14, and most of the activities are structured so the students learn some math, science, history or other discipline. One of the benefits of the end-of-school program is that students finish the school year with a good feeling about school. Details.
