Analysis of the Democratic race for the 2nd District congressional seat. Candidates Jim Mitchell and John Baldacci recently became embroiled in a controversy dubbed "Faxgate," which started when someone sent reporters the text of a television ad purported to be from the Baldacci campaign. The ad attacked Mitchell's relationship with big business, but Baldacci denied that he planned such an ad. Details.
