Abstract

Judi Freeman, 36, the Joan Whitney Payson curator at the Portland Museum of Art, has been awarded a grant by a private European foundation that will allow her to do research for 18 months. Freeman did not apply for the grant, but is one of five recipients worldwide selected by the foundation. The foundation's name and the amount of the grant will remain confidential until an offical announcement is made in July. Details.
