Abstract

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court threw out the burglary conviction of James Haines, 33, of Portland, on the grounds that the prosecution failed to prove that Haines knew he was not licensed or privileged to enter the premises of the New England Family Institute, from which he tried to steal video equipment.
